Once upon a time with Gladys

Obviously Gladys has lived a life filled with many adventures. Once upon a time and sometimes on her way to her dreams, she too got side-tracked..... I know that shouldn't surprise us!

I have to admit the quote is one of my favorites from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous. It reminds us that not all detours are bad!

Ink and stamp “Designer Pattern” background stamp (Stampers Anonymous) onto a white card. Distress card with various Holtz Distress ink pads (Ranger). Stamp background stamp onto an old piece of dress pattern. Cut out “dress” and adhere to woman in background stamped on card. Stamp sentiment (Stampers Anonymous) on parchment paper, emboss, attach to a goldenrod panel, and affix to card. Gather some coordinating pieces of fabric and staple to card. Glue lens from old pair of eye glasses to background stamp. Stamp image of woman (eat cake graphics) four times on various papers. “Dress” her, add beads, ribbon, and gold star brad. Attach hat to head. Use foam tape to adhere woman to card. Stamp “Chocolate Tester” sentiment (Club Stamp) on twill and distress. Attach twill with brads to card.

Yes, Gladys even looks good with a lampshade on her head! LOL. oops, she just told me it was a hat she designed. Okie, dokie.

We next catch up with the old girl at the Hotel Francia. Oh my, oh my..... Gladys in Paris. Call the embassy NOW....

Stick luggage tag (Laughing Elephant) to red card. Stamp image of woman (eat cake graphics) on card stock and various decorative papers. Cut out and attach “clothes” from decorative papers to stamped image of woman. Watercolor her face and hair. Attach woman to card with foam tape. Stamp sentiment (Rubbermoon) with red ink and clear emboss. Attach sentiment with brads to card. Take garter (7 Gypsies), attach lace, and adhere with red sticky tape to card.

What a way to leave her - drinking in Paris!

Bonne nuit!
