Wanderings through the Honeysuckles

OK - first things first.... before the ramblings and wanderings amongst the honeysuckles.... I happened to find a photo of my first card ever published in Stampington Take Ten. I forgot all about this one - I sent it in on a whim and it was accepted. I've never posted it on the blog and thought why not....

In the meantime, I reviewed the ATC card, "Heart Notes," and worked on it again... I added some chalking behind the lovely little boy and took out the wimpy wimpy wimpy feather and went for a "flourish" feather.... Little did I know in my 20s I would be getting excited about little feathers..... Thank goodness there were no peeks into the future cause I don't know what I would have thought about feathers - I have an idea but won't share here.

Worked on the "backside" of the card and got the ATC stamp mounted on red paper:

Those who have visited with me for a while know that the last two ATC cards I did - yes, I know, I don't do them much - lean toward the macabre so a February month type ATC is stretching me! Give me them baby doll heads, LOL:

I call the one above "Nevermore" and it certainly has Patty's (Magpie's Nest) influence. Yes, I am blaming her for leading me down a path that went straight to the dollhouse. Yes, Patty always loves these weird doll heads and she openly admits it especially around the Halloween season.... She even told me where to find the images used above and below (Suck) at Digital Collage Sheets - a wonderful site I love to visit.

OK, changing subject all of a sudden, need to get downstairs to eat dinner, and now to the ramblings part of this post..... I wandered into Trader Joe's for lunch and found two items for my nephew-pup Oliver.

Had to call Oliver's mummy today to see if he was allergic to wool. She thought I bought him a sweater... Nope, sweetie, just the coolest dog bone I've ever seen....

And now let me introduce you to my LoLa.....

She needed some surgery - new maps. OK, she is an older model and chunky but I couldn't bring myself to toss her aside for a younger slimmer model. No way. She watched the download and then had it implanted and she is now recovering..... Life is good. Well boys and girls, me and my slippers are going downstairs for dinner....... Enjoy the evening!

Marlynn, I love what you did to your ATC, although I liked it a lot before.
Your musings are always fun to read. I haven't delved into the dark side of ATCs just yet, those doll heads give me the willies! But you did a fab job on them!
And that is a fab bone!
Goodnight : )

I wish we had a Trader Joes. The closest one for us is 2 hours away. I love your cards, especially Nevermore ( is that Edgar A. Poe on there)?

Love it all! Love the creepy doll heads with Poe! Maybe I should do some ATC's! I love Trader Joe's, I got some delightful baby spinach there that was so fresh, and I added an avacado, some feta, and black olives....and a little balsamic vinagrette...mmmmm. Funny how everyone names their GPS...we haven't named ours yet, but my Dad's is named Lena. Ha! xo
