The Lost Chord

YES, I did disappear for one month. The month of February.  I signed up for a venture called "Be Your Own Beloved" and we took photos on various prompts every single day in February.  AND, I did it. The whole 28 days I took them photos. I am the one who will sign up for a class and then not show up. But this one was different. Really different.  This one was on day 16 of the 28:

A Part of the Whole

In my world, crazy hair, slouchy clothes on a day off - and photo all dressed up in sepia!

I love my part of the whole in my nest.

Some prompts were easy and some not so.  I will share with you some of these throughout the month. Today I was creating in the journal, "The Lost Chord" -- you saw the beginning of  it last year:

Worked on two pages today - The first page is still a work in progress - called dance.  This book is becoming a story of the "lost" children in the world that run away to never never land or wonderland.  Playing with silhouettes thorough the journal.  Cutting out the clip art and then coloring in black!  Every child's secret passion! And of course had to use the "doll heads" - love my doll heads.

The second page worked on today was started with an article in my stash of clip art concerning vampires:

New England always seem to have its share of vampires starting with one of my all time favorites, Barnabas Collins! Dark Shadows was my obsession in the late 60s-70s.

So no telling where this pages will lead but will work on some more tomorrow.  Last week went to a crop and worked on the Paris Photo Sleeve Album.  Had fun with the girls.  Here are two of the photos I managed to get laid out:

And of course - the Tower:

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hello Marlynn,
It is great to hear about your journey with the camera. Yay for you that you did the entire class!
I love your sepia self portrait! I love slouchy clothes too. And Barnabas Collins. We used to be so excited after school to see it. I was terrified of course...back then it didn't take much. I love the new Dark Shadows movie as well.
Your pages in the book are fab! For sure! I love your title, and the silhouettes!
I am so glad you are sharing your artistic endeavors with us here at the Breezes : )

Hugs,
Terri

Oh my, you are speaking to my heart with this one! I loved the palette you are using here! I too was a fan of "Dark Shadows" years ago, and just caught the Johnny Depp version on NetFlix last month. This is amazing artwork -- you rock!!
