Lazing in the Honeysuckle Breeze this eve

Yes, it is true, I am lazing tonight and it feels cool! I have cut out images for the "left" side of the Asian pages in the Walls Notebook. I do love this book. Love the "back" statement on the book. Yesterday I gave you the link to Amazon on how you too can have your own walls to play and do with as you see fit.
Here are the images so far.... might add more, just don't know since I haven't started "building" the page,
On Saturday I am doing a workshop at The Queen's Ink in Savage, Maryland, by the author of this book, Collage Journeys is a fascinating book and I can't wait to meet Jane Davies. I will be taking a class called "Unbinding the Visual Journal" and we will be learning how to get over "The Blank Page" syndrome - I have that about every other day or especially, when a project ends! We are going to be making a visual journal that will involve creating random collages on unbound folios and then assembling them into a book. Gonna be fun - lasts all day! Woooo Hooooo. So tomorrow night I will be frantically getting my supply list together - last minute of course! I did stop at Angela's Happy Stamper at lunchtime today and picked up some Asian papers that might work in my pages on Saturday. The rub-ons are for the Walls Notebook page....

Tonight I am getting ready to go downstairs and read my latest purchase, The Green Craft magazine from Somerset. I have never looked at a copy before and am thinking it is going to be really good..... oh no.... another Stampington publication to get hooked on!

Have fun this evening! Gotta Go Read.... and hugs to all! xoxo

The Geisha's Wall

Blank Walls in the Walls Notebook - oh where do we go from here? Blank Walls in the neighborhood, Oh My, oh my. The image,

A little bit of this,
And a little bit of that including black feathers, oh my,

I used some of the background collage pieces from my little note pad from Red Horseshoe. Love their stuff. I used the back of the page. Every time I jot down notes, I do not throw the paper away, just turn it over and cut out images!

And the finished page,

Tonight since Team Tennis got rained out I will be working on the left side of the notebook. Have fun - I'm getting ready for Ghost Hunter's Academy! Wooooooo Hooooooo!

If the Walls Could Talk.....in the Honeysuckles!

The other day you saw the beginning of the new Walls layout entitled, Mezzogiorno.... Just started out...... with a little this and a little that,

I was trying to behave, I really was but eventually got to this....

Here are a few vignettes:

Behind the curtains - a view from a window......

And another window, another girl.......

And in the doorway we have,

Yes, we all have our secrets...

And now on to the next "wall" .....

Thinking of a little this and that....

A visit to the Walls Notebook

I have not visited this notebook in quite a while - months.... some of you new to the Honeysuckles, don't have a clue what this is...... Yes, I call it my "off the walls" notebook. Because, you ask or not, it is. I'm playing with a layout right now and just have images laid on the page. To begin with,

Images laid on top of the pages, not sure where I am going with this, but will by tonight....

Before I end, yes, this is a quick post, I will share some of my other layouts in this "notebook" - A little stamping, rub-ons, and stamping on cork......

Okie, Dokie, told you it would be quick. Need to get dinner cooked and laundry folded, and ..... you know Monday morning comes too quick. I did get a lot done today. Got an email inquiry sent off to one of my favorite publications to see if they might be interested in publishing the Alphabet ATCs. Have a hunky dory eve!

A little Arts Festival in the Breezy Honeysuckles

Had a glorious Saturday. Played hard at cardio tennis for two hours. Man oh Man, this body ain't that young and no, kiddies, it is not all in the mind, my little ones, there are parts of the body that creaks when running for those nasty yellow tennis balls about 1 1/2 into the cardio. OUCH. OK, must not have hurt too much since I managed to meet Patricia and Loren for lunch at a place aptly named, The Breeze. This little cafe is right in the middle of downtown Herndon where we had the annual arts festival going on.....

Loved these glasses - beautiful to look at and no did not buy them:

And then I found these beauties from Nature by Design out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. You won't believe what stopped me in my tracks (and then again those who have followed by 26 ATC alpabet cards will) canvas photos with images looking like the alpahabet letters..... do tell?

I am sorry that my photos do not give these works of art the credit they deserve. I bought three of them, and I have to admit, not for the "letters" they spelled -- but the sepia photos on the canvas:

These are "M," "N," and "M." The middle one is sooooo London - Jack the Ripper - LOVE it. Moving along here - I could not pass up this chair...... wish I had a place for it:

Found Xmas/Birthday gifts (Steelers Apron),

Oliver gifts for his doggie collar,

Baby Shower gifts,

And, are you ready my little chickadees? Two tie-dyes for me,

Thank you for stopping by! I now how to get up and out of this chair, go downstairs, and run (OK, walk) over to Oliver's mummy and daddy's condo and deliver my little nephew pup his scarves for his collar......

A Rainy Day in the Honeysuckle Breeze

Today, we are having a wonderful rain at about 5:00 pm. This is the first time I have captured rain drops on my new car's (Red Queen to you) moon roof. Love it. Harley has moved in and is purring.... what can I say. He loves a red car - said something about it being his fav color... do tell!

Played "team tennis" last night and we did OK. Didn't win over all but had great fun playing and competing. I think I am getting a little use to those late Wednesday nights and getting up early on a Thursday morning. Don't have to do it every Wednesday, so it is OK.

I did get the ATC "backs" done and now need to get them onto the ATCs - working on that tonight.

I have to admit I am addicted to my Prismacolor Pencils -- this box of pencils. I have metal boxes of this brand but for some reason I cannot live without this box. How do I know this? I misplaced the box just prior to my last craft chix weekend a few months ago and all I did was moan, whine, and groan that they weren't with me. All my gal friends offered me their pencils but I wouldn't use them. When I got home, I found them, under my nose in the living room. *Sigh*

And last but not least. The photo above is in my living room by my fireplace. I see these two items everyday and they give me a lot happiness. Elizabeth, over at Altered Book Lover, made the hands banner which I was the lucky winner in a blog drawing months ago. Hung it on a stick! The Rooster -- I have had for more years than I can remember. Found him at an arts festival and just had to have him. He is quilted and so beautiful. I am going to get to work on my ATC backs, the rain is still coming down and I might go out on the patio with a cup of decaf and watch the rain drops! Happy Happy evening my honeysuckles.....
